Football shirts are more than pieces of fabric. They are symbols of journeys, communities, memories, and identity. More Than A Shirt is a unique exhibition by the London Jersey Gallery that explores the powerful stories woven into football shirts from across generations and cultures.
Through a carefully curated collection of iconic and rare jerseys, the exhibition examines themes of migration, social inclusion, belonging, identity, and history. Each shirt serves as a cultural artefact, revealing how football has connected communities, reflected social change, and provided a sense of home for people from diverse backgrounds.
