Beethoven's anguished 'Serioso' opens a programme that bridges centuries: Dobrinka Tabakova's vivid contemporary writing and a brand-new work from the quartet themselves precede Mendelssohn's turbulent, deeply personal A minor Quartet. A vibrant calling-card from a young ensemble already earning praise for its concentrated, communicative energy.
