Join us for a captivating solo concert with Tunde Jegede, the internationally acclaimed composer, producer, cellist and virtuoso of the West African kora.
In this unique musical journey, Jegede brings together two remarkable classical traditions: the monumental solo cello suites of Johann Sebastian Bach and the rich royal court tradition of the kora, rooted in the musical heritage of medieval Mali.
Through the delicate, resonant sounds of the kora and the expressive depth of the cello, Jegede explores the connections between history, heritage and innovation, offering an intimate musical experience that transcends cultural boundaries.
An internationally recognised artist and cultural innovator, Tunde Jegede is the founder of the Art Ensemble of Lagos and the African Classical Music Ensemble. His work celebrates the richness of African classical music while continually exploring new artistic horizons.
